1) Why did you choose to come to Norway for this Erasmus placement?
I would like to become a high school teacher, and I would like to be the best one. Scandinavian countries have the best reputation towards education, so my main idea was to learn from them. Personally, I like history and viking culture, so Norway was the perfect candidate to travel to.

2) How have you contributed in the classrooms?
As a native person, it was easy for me to interact in Spanish language with the students and understand them. In general, I collaborated with the teachers supporting them with the daily tasks, reading Spanish texts in class, talking daily with the students and proposing ideas or preparing games. Overall, I encourage the students to speak in Spanish as much as they could. Besides the academic aspect, the way to show language skills is to be able to communicate in that language.

3) In your opinion, what's the best way to learn a language?
To do it for fun. No deadline, no pressure. It's a long term plan. Final grades are not that important comparing with how much you learn. Overall, travelling to a different country and trying to speak in their local language is the best way to improve.

4) Which teaching method from KKG will you try out in Spain?
There were some activities where the students had to record a video about different fun life situations (like a trip to another country or how to camp in the forest). We don't have this kind of homework in Spain, and it's a good way to promote creativity and the use of digital tools. Besides that, cooking classes are a fantastic way to get to know another culture.

5) In your opinion, what's the best undiscovered gem in Spain that Norwegians should visit/experience next time they visit your country?
If they want to enjoy an authentic spanish experience, I recommend them to visit the south part of the country. Cities like Sevilla or Málaga have an special aura with unique traditions like "flamenco" dance/music or activities like "corrida de toros" (bull fighting). It can be an amazing experience (if you can withstand the hot weather haha).

As an Erasmus student, I also felt welcomed in the global lounge at the University of Agder. They allowed me to participate in different activities and I met many international students (some of them from Spain). We enjoyed some trips and adventures together. I would say that my favourite trip was the Preikestolen's hike, where we climb to the top and collected nice memories together. Our international group of friends made the Norwegian experience way more fun and succesfull.
